About Dierdre
Dierdre Ware is a doctoral researcher, author, executive leader, and Scholar, Practitioner, and Leader (SPL) Scholar with more than 20 years of experience spanning public safety, healthcare, nonprofit leadership, supply chain operations, compliance, and organizational development.
Her current doctoral research explores how Black women entrepreneurs navigate the challenges and opportunities of simultaneously leading nonprofit and for-profit ventures. Her work focuses on organizational sustainability, leadership adaptation, intersectionality, emotional labor, and entrepreneurial resilience.
Ware is the founder and chief executive officer of the Dierdre Ware Foundation Organization and Viromote Research, LLC. She is also the author of multiple books spanning inspirational nonfiction, poetry, children's literature, leadership, political commentary, and fiction.

Navigating Dual Realities of Black Women Entrepreneurs:
A Qualitative Exploratory Case Study
This qualitative exploratory case study examines how Black women entrepreneurs navigate the challenges and opportunities of simultaneously leading nonprofit and for-profit ventures. The study explores organizational sustainability, leadership adaptation, intersectionality, emotional labor, and entrepreneurial resilience among dual-sector leaders.
